GE Fanuc IC660EBD120 high-speed counter block is manufactured as part of the Genius I/O product family and it is designed to directly process the rapid pulse signals of up to 200 kilohertz for various industrial control applications, including motion control, turbine flowmeter, material handling, meter proving and velocity measurement applications, among others. The IC660EBD120 high-speed counter block operates on a voltage rating of 115 Volts AC or a voltage range of 10 to 30 Volts DC. When the primary power to this high-speed counter block is supplied by the 115 Volts AC source, the DC power can be used as the auxiliary power. Both AC and DC power can be supplied concurrently, but when the 115 Volts AC power fails, this block continues operating on the DC backup power.
The IC660EBD120 block has many features and specifications that enable it to provide optimal performance. Some of these features include software configuration, failed switch diagnostics, external battery backup operation, and a built-in protection feature to guard the device against output power surges. Other notable features include the counts per time base register for every counter, oscillator output, 4 outputs, and 12 inputs with an output of 5 Volts DC.
